Can 11 Non-Stop Traffic Sources actually help you get an Affiliate Marketing Business off the ground?  The truth is Maybe Not!

Maybe Not? But, it’s… count them… it’s 11 Continuous, Non-Stop Traffic Sources…

Yep… I know…

Why, Maybe Not?

Because, you have to have an Internet Marketing business in the first place to be able to make money on the internet.  Most people just buy a few courses or read a book but, if you want to know the truth, ALMOST NONE of them actually do anything with it.

Why?

Because, (and these are their excuses):

It’s just too darn hard to do it…

… Or, it’s too expensive…

… Or, it will take too much time…  

… Or they don’t have anything to sell…

… At least that’s what they say. 

Well, here’s the truth… they really don’t want the Freedom, Security and Respect that a successful online business can bring them.

Are you one of them? 

Or, are you the type of person that has what it takes to make it happen?

… In order to start a successful Internet Marketing Business you need a skill/capability set of 6 things:

  1. Understand Internet Marketing and how it works;
  2. Be able to write sales copy and articles;
  3. Be able to make sales websites;
  4. Have a way to take orders and collect the money;
  5. Be able to deliver the product and bonuses that the customer bought; and, finally…
  6. Follow-up with and support your customers.

For absolute beginners and even for more advanced Internet Marketers, Affiliate Marketing may be the all-time best way (if there is another, I haven’t found it… and I’ve been doing Internet Marketing for close to 5 years now) to start an actual, profit-making, successful online business from scratch.

Look at the above list…

The only thing that Affiliate Marketing won’t do for you, at least in part, is item #1… Learning the business…

So, just how do you do that part of it?

Well, you can either try to do it yourself…

… Like I tried and failed for several years…

… I tried for years and finally admitted to myself that I couldn’t do it all myself… I needed a Mentor. I needed to pay someone who had already figured it out to tell me what to do and then guide me as I did it.

I finally admitted to myself that I would need to buy what it took to get me to where I wanted to go and I’m glad I did.

The Mentor I chose was Jeff Johnson.

I’ve watched Jeff for years and have tremendous respect for him and the service he provides to the business community around the world; especially to beginners and light-intermediate and some even more advanced Internet Marketers.  I need to mention that I am an Affiliate of Jeff’s so any link on this site to his products or websites probably my affiliate link.

Not only does Jeff have products and programs that he charges for (hey, you gotta pay for the lights) but he has I don’t know how many hours, probably hundreds, if not thousands, of hours of free videos and other information that he gives away free, at no charge, just to help… yeah, it’s good business, but it’s still free and I like that… it says something about the man and his ethics…

I joined his Super Affiliate Coaching Club years ago and it was one of the best decisions that I ever made.  I’ve paid the price of admission and I listen to his superior materials frequently.  He figured out how to do it right and he is willing to share what he knows…

Right now the Super Affiliate Coaching Club is closed… But, and this is great news …

Is Internet Affiliate Marketing In YOUR Future?

Do you know anything about Internet Affiliate Marketers?  Do you have any idea what would they look like? 

The answer is that they look like you! 

Male or female, any race, any nationality, any age – the main thing that makes someone an affiliate marketer is having a hunger to make a success of whatever it is that they touch. 

An affiliate loves to market to people’s needs!  An affiliate marketer often takes on one project after another as they accomplish what they had hoped in each separate project.  Like climbing a new peak, a marketer takes on the challenge of digging up keywords and feeling out the audience for which the product is intended.

Unlike the businessperson who loves to focus on one niche and become the authority on that topic, an affiliate marketer is constantly looking for the next great program to promote and dominate.

Is just anyone cut out to be an affiliate marketer?  In all honesty, no.  Anyone can become an affiliate, but only some will stay with it long enough to make a real go of it.  It takes grit, determination, creativity, bloodhound instincts, and love of a challenge.

You’ll also have to learn some technical tactics to ensure your promotions see the volume of traffic that’s required to generate a decent stay at home income over a long period of time. You’ll want to build a list of subscribers, learn about getting your pages on page 1 of the Google search results, and possibly discover how to operate a pay per click ad campaign.

In the end, marketing of any kind is all about discerning people’s hot buttons and then pushing them.  If that describes you, then by all means you can count yourself in the small, but growing class of entrepreneur called affiliate marketers.

Why Is It Easier To Make Money Online with Affiliate Marketing?

Of all the ways for both newbies and seasoned marketers to make money online, affiliate marketing is probably the most often used.  It gives the marketer the opportunity to focus his or her energies just on the marketing aspect of the sales funnel.

After all, the hardest part of starting a business online is to develop a great product with sizzling sales copy – elements already taken care of when you’re promoting affiliate products.  With these two milestones taken care of, your energy can be focused on driving traffic to the affiliate sales site. 

Think of it this way: someone writes a great product that teaches specialty dog training – but then doesn’t know how to reach his or her audience.  On the other hand, you know that there is a huge market for specialty dog training, and you know how to generate traffic to a site, but you have no personal knowledge of the dog training niche. 

Enter affiliate marketing.  You do what you do best – market and drive traffic.  In this way, you become a traffic driving expert rather than an infopreneur that sells a dog training course. 

At the same time, it helps the owner of the dog training product because they would rather write and teach dog training tips than have to find ways to research hot keywords or write articles.

Affiliate marketing is a perfect opportunity to help immerse you into the world of Internet marketing.  While there are many dozens of ways to make money online, affiliate marketing definitely offers the most flexibility and variety for the serious online entrepreneur.

Affiliate Marketing – One of the Best Work at Home Opportunities

It seems that the biggest dream any entrepreneur has is to work at home making a living right from their living room – their commute consisting of stopping by the kitchen to pick up a cup of coffee.  While this seems ideal, there are many things to consider before cutting all ties and making a break from the 9-5 grind. 

Take the time to research what you will sell.  While you might be interested in selling Canadian sweet grass baskets, there may be no market for it.  It just makes sense, at least at first to find an already busy money making niche, like weight loss or “how to get a hot date” because that’s where there is always a regular “starving” market ready to spend cash.

Any person new to making money at home should consider affiliate marketing.  There are so many fabulous high commission products for marketers to sell.  With the choice of digital downloads or tangibles, the field is wide open.

Want to sell treadmills?  Put up a review site that offers good, solid information of what to look for, brands, pros and cons, etc… all while promoting something from Amazon.com or some other affiliate program.

Have you always wanted to sell your favorite vitamins and herb supplements?  Here’s your chance to get into a multi-billion dollar health industry by using affiliate marketing as your money making medium. 

Don’t be put off by the many others already out there.  For the person with a good work ethic and determination, you can live your dream, while you work at home, with affiliate marketing.

Affiliate Marketing – Not a “Work-At-Home” Scheme – A True Money Maker

For my next several posts, I want to chat about what I see as one of the Internet Beginner’s true road to riches… Affiliate Marketing. 

Please… Listen to me when I say that Affiliate Marketing is not a “get rich quick” way to make money… It is NOT a “work-at-home” scheme. 

You will work and you will work hard for the money that you earn.  But, I think that  will be worth it and I think that you will be glad that you did… Especially if you are a beginner.  

I will remember, for the rest of my life, I’m sure, the first repeat customer that I ever noticed.  I was selling an MLM product by Mike Dillard called “Black Belt Recruiting”  (yes, I confess that I’m an MLMer and I have made money at it) and every couple of weeks this guy in Las Vegas kept buying another of Mike’s products…. it was like eating honey and butter on a hot biscuit… It was easy to eat and incredibly tasty and sweet.  Repeat customers are marvelous and if you do your Affiliate Marketing properly, you will have a lot of them :-) !

But, …

… The “Road to Riches” is NOT paved with luck… it is paved with work…

… It is paved with golden bricks and you will lay them one at a time.  And, they must be layed in the right order.  The mortar that holds them together will be mixed with your blood, sweat and tears…

But, if you go about it right,  Affiliate Marketing will give you all the ingredients for a winner product:

  1. A low cost product… usually marketing/internet related costs are about all you will have… at least when you first start out.
  2. A wide variety of products to choose from.  That means that you can pick and choose what you want to sell.
  3. Easily available market information/research.
  4. A large market place.  And,
  5. An easy payment process… Someone else, other than the owner of the product, generally handles the money-side of the sale and usually it is a well-known company like ClickBank so you know that you will get paid.  But, don’t overlook some of the “Gurus” like Jeff Johnson who I feature in the column to the right.  They have tremendous products and are, in my opinion, 100% reliable.

And, to make it even better you can work at home if you want to do that.  And that’s the subject of my next post in this series.
